Breezy the Band was formed out of a collaboration between Jay Robichaux and Nick Mentillo. Meeting while giging around as drummers in Portland, Jay and Nick discovered they were both multi-instrumentalists and shared a love for angular, mathy post-rock. What began as a semi-weekly jam where they'd trade off on instruments in 2016, grew into a project when Jay met Leandro on a chance passing while fishing. Jay invited Leo and his brother Niki Barrientos over to play guitar and round out the lineup. 

Breezy recorded in Nick's home studio in 2021, releasing the tracks as singles over the past few years. After the recording, Niki moved back to California and Breezy went through a couple line-up changes until bringing in the very talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Will Traylor to play lead guitar. 

Breezy plays regularly in the Portland Metro area and has a full length album recorded at Jackpot Recording Studios to be released soon.
